PLASTIX polymer supply and control process
In polymer materials, a similar name or appearance does not necessarily mean the same performance on the production line. At PLASTIX, each request is reviewed against the application, production method, process conditions, monthly consumption and technical sensitivities. A suitable option is then proposed for sampling and trial. Sample records, product and lot codes, test results and subsequent supplies are documented and followed up in the customer file.

The level of control depends on the material and application, but the logic remains the same: a clear requirement, a traceable sample, a real production trial and supply based on documented results.

PLASTIX inventory and the capacity of partner producers are reviewed to identify the option that best matches the customer’s actual requirement.
Maintaining the sample-to-lot link
Each traceable product is registered with a product code and, where applicable, a lot code. A sample linked to the same lot is retained, reviewed or sent to the customer.
Control matched to application sensitivity
Depending on the material and application, relevant data may be obtained from the supplier or checks such as melt flow rate, ash content, density, moisture, or other agreed indicators may be coordinated with a producer, compounder, or partner laboratory.
Decision based on real production results
The sample is tested under the customer’s real production conditions. Material behaviour, usage percentage, machine settings and technical feedback are recorded.
Building a repeatable supply route
After approval, the order is planned against the agreed lot or specifications, and subsequent supplies are followed using the previous records.
Value created
Product selection starts with the production requirement, not merely with what is available for sale.
Product and lot codes help identify exactly which sample belongs to which material lot.
Trial results and technical feedback are recorded so future decisions can be faster and more accurate.
The objective is not a one-off shipment, but a supply route that can be repeated against approved criteria.
PLASTIX does not currently operate an independent laboratory. The review level is defined by the material type, application, production sensitivity, and the parties’ agreement. When needed, available supplier data is collected or testing is coordinated with a producer, compounder, or partner laboratory. Mentioning MFI/MFR, ash content, or density does not mean these tests are performed on every lot; the final criteria are the agreed specifications and the customer’s real production-trial result.
